Jet off to tropical paradise in the South Pacific and land in the French Polynesian islands. Bora Bora is one of 118 islands that offers mountain peaks, untouched coral, white sands and bright blue waters. The average temperature all year round is 30 degrees - perfect for a honeymoon any month of the year! However, visiting between July and October will offer you just 8 hours of daylight. Take time to relax in your overwater bungalow and soak up the sunlight, or discover your inner adventurer and hike up Mount Otemanu. The city centre Reykjavik provides beautiful restaurants and shops which can be used as a base when taking excursions to see the nature and landscape on offer. Why don’t you tick off one of National Geographics wonders of the world as newlyweds and visit the Blue Lagoon? These steaming turquoise pools surrounded by volcanic rock are known as a geothermic gift of nature which cannot be missed when planning a trip. Visit between September and April for the best opportunity to see the outstanding Northern Lights. Take a look at our Arctic Adventure blog for more great tips and treats for your honeymoon.

The Lake District provides a great alternative if you don’t have the money or time for an extravagant trip away and fancy planning a mini-moon instead. You don’t have to sacrifice luxury or adventure - the lake district offers you both. Luxury cottages and spas contrast the opportunities for off road biking, hiking and watersports; something to suit all newlyweds. It gets a little busy in the summer months, so why not opt for a quieter trip by visiting out of season - just remember to wrap up warm!
