Hello there, I'm James, a wedding videographer based in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I specialise in crafting beautiful and cinematic wedding films that tell your unique love story.

Unlike a simple compilation of clips from a wedding, a wedding film is a carefully crafted story that intertwines your relationship with your wedding day. I strive to get to know you and your story to create films that are unique to you.

With my considered and thoughtful preparation, we will get to know each other through voice or video calls, or in-person meetings, so that I can learn about your story and build a timeline of your day. I use small and silent cameras and audio recorders to discreetly capture every special moment of your wedding day, without disrupting the atmosphere.

After the wedding day, I backup your footage onto three separate hard drives before beginning the creative and story-led editing process. By incorporating everything I learn from our conversations and the wedding day, I will create films that are a reflection of you and your unique love story.

My goal is to fully immerse myself in your wedding day and tell your story through the films I create. Every couple's story and wedding day are different, and I can't wait to be a part of yours.

PS - In case you’re wondering, Lapwing is the English translation of my wife’s maiden name. I wanted to take her surname when we got married but she wouldn’t let me! So, rather than calling my business something like the usual ‘West Yorkshire Wedding Videography’, I dedicated my business to her name.
