There are many things that bring us all together and, as noted by millennials the world over, one of those things, is a really, really good brunch. There's nothing quite like gathering your favourite people in a cosy breakfast nook for a lazy, late-morning catch up over all the good stuff. It's no wonder then, that the trend has caught on in weddings in a big way - taking the best of all things modern, we're going to spread the jam over why you should consider celebrating your wedding day in true style, at the brunch table...

The Lifestyle Factor

First up, you'll gain major kudos with your guests for creating the perfect ambience to mix, mingle and enjoy each other's company. There's a reason why brunch has become so popular - it's a celebration, so, why not add it to your occasion? Not only is it delicious, but, it's also trending: Pinterest's biblical forecast on 2017 wedding trends reported that "brunch wedding" has officially become a thing! What does that mean? It means that couples are popping this into their search engines to get inspired! Having a wedding party, bridal shower or wedding breakfast with a fabulous brunch twist means exciting new menus, laid-back feasting and informal foodie fun. Head over to Instagram and you'll see girls swooning over waffles, guys snapping away at their avocado on toast. Anything goes!

Daytime Goodness

When's the best time to hold your wedding brunch? In the daylight hours of course! For a more casual, daytime affair, you can entirely style your wedding menu around the most important meal of the day... Brunch lovers rejoice! City weddings in particular, are totally on the rise - with couples making the most of cheaper daytime wedding hours. The main question is: How do you like your eggs in the morning? With a wedding brunch, you can give your guests some tempting and seriously affordable choices!

A Casual Reception

So what's the difference between holding a wedding brunch and having your wedding party as an event in the evening? Well, the atmosphere! Brunch happens at a different type of day, so, your wedding will have an entirely different feel. More like a garden party, having your brunch is the ideal opportunity to put a twist on the 'traditional' wedding run through. With a wedding brunch, you're allowed to play around with the styling, dress code and rules - in short, there are no rules! Stripping back the formal sit-down dinner leads to a way more casual affair, which has all the appeal. Your guests will feel comfortable, you can dress everything down and put the emphasis on a relaxed celebration of the two of you as a couple with all of your family and friends. Naturally, you can still add a little sparkle with bucks fizz and prosecco but you'll be able to toast and make your getaway to an utterly fabulous honeymoon!

Tempting Treats

What do you serve at a wedding brunch? Have you seen some of the alternative desserts dreaming up your wedding hashtag, sweets and savouries in the wonderful world of the big brunch? We're talking waffle cakes, crêpe towers, doughnut walls and unicorn lattes. Innovative pastry chefs are hot on bigging up the latest trends in breakfasting - calling on the perfect photo opportunities that these spectacles present! What better way to have a wedding party that is unique, fun and a major talking point? We're in love! All that's left is and flipping some pancakes!
