When the bridal gown designers have finalised their designs for their new collections, they go to bridal markets to show off their new styles. Bridal salons then attend these weddings and choose which designers they will carry for the next year. Once they have done this they will then buy 12-16 dresses, sized 8 to 10 to exemplify the designers styles for their latest collections to their brides and take orders for them. However as time goes by new collections come out and salons may want to sell on their dresses to recover some of their costs. This is the chance for brides wanting to wear high end fashion down the aisle to snap up a designer dress at a fraction of the price. They are usually discounted by 50 to 75%. However there are a few down sides to sample dresses to be aware of. Firstly they are usually only size 8 to 10, and therefore if you are a more curvy lady then you probably wont be able to find a sample dress in your size. Also, due to the fact that a lot of brides will have been trying them on and they will have been around the shop for a couple of years, some of the dresses may be damaged or ripped. But if you are careful, it is a great option for budget aware brides to have that dream designer dress.
