When Mark presented Kate with an antique daisy engagement ring at the top of St Paul’s Cathedral, the mood was set for a vintage themed wedding, with plenty of floral details!
Kate and Mark had met at Leeds University, and were living in London when they got engaged, but Kate knew she wanted to tie the knot in Burnham, where she grew up. Dorney Lake provided the ideal light and bright venue, with fabulous views out over the water. Kate enthuses, ‘The staff at Dorney Lake were brilliant and made sure our day ran perfectly.’
The vintage pink and ivory colour theme was picked out in bouquets and buttonholes, as well as in the candy striped stationery and pretty favour bags, whilst pretty chair covers transformed the venue, with pearl brooches adding a touch of glamour for the chairs at the top table.
Glamour was the order of the day for the bridal gown too, a romantic Augusta Jones style, customised with lace trim by Ellie Sanderson’s dressmaker, whilst the bridesmaids looked perfect in gorgeous pink chiffon strapless gowns.
