It's nearly here... the scariest day of the year, Halloween! With a chill in the air, autumnal touches and of course, the spook and scare factor - it's a fun way to start married life. Here's 10 reasons why we love the idea of getting hitched at Halloween. However - if you don't want to share your big day with zombies, ghosts and pumpkins, then you could pick some of these ideas for an autumnal wedding.

Pumpkin Potential

A fantastic way to light up your reception, whilst creating a spooky Halloween atmosphere. Carving your wedding date or initials into the pumpkins or using them as a guest book adds a personal touch to the pumpkin decor.

Ominous Favours

From love potions to Trick or Treat goody bags, your guests will be left wondering whether those favours are safe to take home...

Defying Mother Nature

Black wedding flowers may seem slightly morbid on a normal day, but on Halloween, they become the norm! Black flowers may not be everyone's choice but they are a striking way to indulge in the theme.

Spider Cocktails

The one day of the year when spiders are allowed in a girl's life. Make the most of it and add spider surprises to the drinks and tables.

Stripy Socks

Get your groom and groomsmen to blend in with these stripy Halloween socks. They'd make a lovely memoir and a great photo opportunity.

A Creepy Cake

If you're not keen on the traditional pretty wedding cake, then a Halloween cake is a definite winner. Have fun creating a unique and memorable design that your guests will love.

Spooky cupcakes

Adding ominous signs around your wedding reception will create a scary atmosphere that you're guests will not only find fun, but will never forget.

Fancy Dress

If you love dressing up, then why not do it at your own wedding? Your guests can dress up for your evening reception, creating a relaxed and fun-filled party. And with the bride and groom dressed as Dracula and his bride - your fancy dress party will be complete.
