Trend alert: the modern wedding photo booth
There used to be a time when wedding photo booths were clunky, outdated, and just a bit ugly. However, these days wedding photo booths tend to be a much sleeker, more Instagrammable affair! We caught up with Cambridge-based business The Snap Booth to find out how brides can have a modern wedding photo booth at their big day…
Why do you recommend brides choose a photo booth for their wedding?
They say laughter is the best medicine. Photo booths are the perfect way to have a laugh with family and friends and to completely unwind in the evening. They provide fun and entertaining memories through the photos created and become a big talking point at weddings. Photo booths are becoming increasingly popular and have evolved hugely over the last 5 years. Brides love nothing more than taking some funny photos with friends, family, and of course, the groom!
How is a professional photo booth preferable to a DIY photo booth?
The main difference between a DIY photo booth compared to a professional one is time. It takes time to set up a DIY booth and to buy the various props needed to make it look good. With a professional photo booth, the happy couple does not have to worry about buying props, setting up a specific area and encouraging the guests to participate. A professional photo booth can also be more cost-effective due to the fact that it is cheaper to do unlimited prints. It can be surprisingly expensive to get the photos printed yourself through a DIY photo booth!
What makes The Snap Booth different from other photo booths?
The Snap Booth is a luxury but modern wedding photo booth with an open-air feel. What makes the booth different is not just how it looks but also the experience itself. Gone are the days of the old-fashioned photo booths with the curtains and having to cram into a small space. Instead, we’re in with the new and modern day open-air photo booths.
The Snap Booth provides a range of modern backdrops, a selection of fun props and packages to suit your wedding or event. We are also one of the few photo booth companies who take online bookings so that we can make booking an easier process. We are completely flexible and happy to take instalments for our photo booth whilst other photo booth companies may want to receive a payment straight away. Weddings are expensive and we want to take this opportunity to make brides and grooms feel at ease with the payment of our booth. We certainly don’t want there to be any pressure on the happy couple!
How can a photo booth add to a guest book?
The Snap Booth has this covered! We provide a wedding package which includes a luxury leather guest book. After the guests have completed their poses, the photo card gets printed from the booth. The booth attendant takes two photo cards – one for the guest and one for the guest book. The guests can then write a message for the newlyweds next to the photo in the guest book. At the end of the night, the leather guest book is given to the bride and groom by the booth attendant in a presentable box, ready for them to view and read the messages from their guests.
How can a photo booth be customised to match a wedding theme?
We provide customised photo card prints to tie in with the bride and groom’s theme. It can be anything from the font, colour or even a logo or picture which best represents the happy couple. We have a range of backdrops and props as well to fit within their theme. We are happy to provide a different backdrop and further props if they need something a little different!
