Wedding Ideas: Spas and Treatments
Our favourite spas with candid reviews and information on what they offer.
Moddershall Oaks has transformed from a beautiful country property to an enchanting country spa and wedding venue. The venue is located in Staffordshire and offers anything from individual treatments to spa weekends.
This hotel based spa has extensive facilities including a gym, heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a whirlpool, a steam room, monsoon shower, a relaxation room, retail area and treatment rooms.
This has to be one of our favourite spas; not for extensive facilities or luxurious treatments, but for the wonderful simplicity of this water-based haven. From massages to facials, the treatments that Homewood Park Spa has to offer are absolutely brilliant. You're guaranteed to leave the spa feeling peaceful, relaxed and refreshed.
Botley Park is part of the popular Macdonald Hotel group and is located just outside Southampton, making it a great location for a hen weekend or pre wedding spa day.

The bars and restaurantsThe Banyan Tree in Shanghai is well known for its rooftop bar with views across the Bund towards the skyscrapers of the Pudong business district. The bar is closed in the colder winter months, with guests using a cosy 2nd floor bar with a great selection of wines and cocktails, and attentive service. There is a traditional Chinese restaurant and a beautifully presented sushi bar for just 12 guests at a time where a dedicated chef prepares sushi and sashimi in front of his guests. There is a larger restaurant on the ground floor, where a lavish buffet breakfast is served daily, and several well designed private dining rooms used for small weddings and celebrations.
The Banyan Tree SpaThe hotel has a dedicated health and fitness area incorporating a huge gym with state of the art equipment and weights, a yoga studio, luxurious changing rooms including a steam room in the mens' changing rooms, and a large pool with smaller pools beside for any younger guests.
