Wedding Ideas: 3-6 Months
Step by step help and advice with planning your wedding at the 3-6 month stage
It marks the first night of your married life together, so don't overlook where you're staying on your wedding night! Here are some tips for organising a suite to suit...
Wedding favours. Now that subject can be a minefield when it comes to wedding planning. There are literally so many things to consider, such as whether they fit in with your budget, whether they fit in with your wedding theme and whether your guests will like or have a practical use for them.
If you're marrying in church, you'll need to choose at least two hymns, and possibly up to four, depending on the length of the service. Your minister or the church music director will be able to make suggestions, but here are some of our favourites. If most of your guests aren't regular church-goers, try to stick to more well-known choices with easy tunes. Remember, some words are associated with more than one tune, so do make sure that if you have a favourite, the organist knows which tune you're expecting.
Picking the bridesmaids dresses can be a daunting task, especially if you have a large bridal party with girls of all shapes and sizes, but if you stick to a few simple rules, then both you and your bridesmaids are bound to end up happy!
You have finally found the perfect bridesmaid dresses but now it is time to find the bridesmaids shoes. Do not underestimate this challenge in terms of time and budget! It can be really quite a tricky task. As with dresses, every bridesmaid is different and every bridesmaid will feel comfortable in something different. Firstly remember that comfort comes before colour and style. The last thing you want is for your bridesmaids to have aching feet for your entire wedding. The hard bit comes when you have to find shoes that everybody is comfortable in. Why not decide on a few, from which the bridesmaids have to choose. This means they don't feel like they have been pressured into having a certain shoe. If you do this, make sure they are of a similar style, for example, all peep toe or all ivory.
