If you're getting married in the gorgeous county of Kent, then you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to the range of wedding venues available. From rustic barns to stately homes and chic hotels, there's something for every wedding theme and budget. Here are some of our top picks for wedding venues in Kent...

Set in 36 acres of stunning countryside surrounding Royal Tunbridge Wells, Salomons Estate is an elegant Grade II listed Victorian mansion that's perfect for a romantic wedding. The venue boasts beautiful function rooms, all of which have their own carefully restored period featured and breathtaking hand-painted ceilings (ideal for a vintage wedding theme), and can accommodate weddings both big and small. The Victorian Theatre is perfect for large weddings as it is able to accommodate 200 guests for a ceremony, where The Gold Room suits more intimate weddings at 65 guests. You can even tie the knot outdoors, with the south-facing Terrace seating up to 100 guests and overlooking the estate's incredible gardens.

Winters Barns

For a rustic barn wedding venue, you can't go wrong with the magical Winters Barns just outside of Canterbury. The charming seventeenth century barns feature vaulted ceilings and original features, and are linked by modern open-plan areas so that the day flows beautifully from ceremony to breakfast to the evening reception. There's even a light and airy bridal salon for the bridal party to use on the morning of the wedding, and a romantic honeymoon cottage for the newlyweds to stay in on the night of the wedding.

The Hop Farm

The Hop Farm is one of Kent's most unique wedding venues, with its quirky oast house roundels giving it one of the most interesting skylines in the county! In Summer, the venue's beautiful lawns and licensed Garden Gazebo are ideal for an outdoor ceremony, or there's plenty of space outside for a grand marquee reception. Inside, the main function space is a stunning oak-beamed room with views overlooking the gardens. The venue can cater for weddings anywhere between 10 and 500 guests, so whatever the size of your guest list, you'll be welcome here.

Mercure Great Danes Hotel

Hotel wedding venues are a fantastic option for couples who want everything, including accommodation for all their guests, under one roof, and Mercure Great Danes Hotel is our top pick for Kent. The Great Danes offers its own individual style and character and is flexible enough to take on any wedding size and theme. You can exchange vows in their beautiful gazebo, or hold a ceremony and celebration in their fabulous new Hollingbourne Suite. With space and accommodation for up to 600 guests, all your loved ones will be thoroughly taken care of.

Bradbourne House

This magnificent Grade I listed building, set within 20 acres of picturesque Kent countryside, was originally built in Tudor times but is now the perfect venue for a modern, elegant wedding. Bradbourne House is an exclusive use country house wedding venue that's just an hour away from London, with stunning rooms, original features, and beautiful gardens with its own lake and waterfall. The venue is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies both inside and out; their Great Hall can seat up to 100 guests for a ceremony, while outdoor ceremonies of up to 120 guests are available in the Hatton Fruit Garden.

Boughton Golf Club

Now is the perfect time to plan your Kent wedding at Boughton Golf Club, as they have a 40-bedroom hotel set to open in 2019! This modern sporting wedding venue is set in the beautiful Faversham countryside, and their stunning grounds make for the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. The wedding suite can accommodate up to 140 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast, and up to 250 for a reception. The Club's talented head chef has designed a range of delicious menus to suit every occasion but is happy to sit down with individual couples to plan the perfect wedding breakfast for their big day.

Hever Castle and Gardens

The incredible Hever Castle near Edenbridge offers not one, but four venue options for your wedding day - whether it's the stately grandeur of the castle itself, the country house feel of the Astor Wing or the picture-perfect Italian Gardens with their lakeside setting, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to this stunning location. Set in a massive 600 acres of gorgeous countryside, Hever Castle has a rich history dating back to the 13th century and was even the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. For a castle wedding venue with a real sense of history to it, Hever Castle is well worth a visit.

St. Augustine's

With a wide variety of rooms and spaces from which to choose, St Augustine's in Thanet is of the most unique wedding venues in Kent. The venue offers five beautiful banqueting rooms, a garden pavilion and a breathtaking chapel, making St Augustine's the only venue in England that can offer a ceremony, chapel and wedding reception all under one roof. The magnificent French-style Chapel, in particular, is a breathtaking location for both your ceremony and your reception. No matter the size of your day, St Augustine's can accommodate you and your loved ones, with the Ruby Room seating 385 guests for a large ceremony, and the Board Room seating a ceremony of 40, with plenty of rooms between.

The Ferry House Inn

If you're looking for the perfect waterside wedding venue, The Ferry House Inn on the Isle of Sheppey could be your dream venue! This charming 16th century pub is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in both the beautifully rustic Oak Barn or outside in the Gazebo for a dreamy outdoor wedding, and their accommodation comfortably fits 50 so that your nearest and dearest can stay on site. Their catering comes particularly well recommended, as the venue was awarded Kent Dining Pub of the Year in 2014 and in 2018 - all the lamb, beef and game is from the family farm and shoots, and the fresh produce is grown in the kitchen garden, making it a fabulous eco-friendly option for Kent weddings.
