Boho wedding dresses have been popular with brides for some time now, but the trend is getting a cool new twist, thanks to bridal designers from Australia and Israel putting their spin on wedding dress design.
Bo and Luca
The Aussies have always been renowned for their laidback, chilled attitude, and this extends to their bridal design too. Australian brands like Grace Loves Lace and Made With Love Bridal are bringing the cool boho aesthetic over to the UK, with gowns featuring fringe, low backs and flowing sheer sleeves.
Spell and the Gypsy
Lace is a stand-out fabric of the Australian boho bridal brands, but forget traditional lace - the laces in these styles range from Art Deco geometrics to intricate floral and coral-inspired motifs to give simple silhouettes plenty of texture. Wear loose, flowing hair, minimal makeup and layered gold or gemstone jewellery.

Meanwhile, Israeli bridal designers have been soaring in popularity too, thanks to their sexy take on the bohemian wedding style. Unlike the Australian style of boho cool, the styles coming out of Israel are more structured, with sheer bodices, plunging necklines and super low backs. Unlike the minimalism of the Aussie look, Israeli boho should be worn with smokey makeup, plenty of contour, and high buns or ponytails.
Berta Bridal
Berta Bridal is arguably one of the most famous wedding dress designers to come out of Israel, and their collections embody the sexier version of the boho bride, with sparkling embellishments, feathers and LOTS of sheer fabrics. Other designers to check out include Galia Lahav, Inbal Dror, Elihav Sasson and Oved Cohen.
