With very easy access from the M62, or a quick stroll from Manchester city centre across the River Irwell, the five-star Lowry hotel is in a great location for a wedding reception. The hotel strikes the perfect balance - capturing the buzz of the city whilst providing a modern and luxurious escape from its surroundings. Overlooking the picturesque River Irwell, this hotel is a stunning backdrop for your big day or a romantic getaway. Having undergone a refurbishment in 2015, The Lowry Hotel offers vibrancy and a seductive measure of Northern fun.Â

AccommodationÂ
Â
For guests planning to stay, there are a great range of rooms all with floor to ceiling panoramic windows, walk in wardrobes, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, spacious living and desk areas and a luxurious bathroom with premium products.
Â
Â
All of the bedrooms ooze the class of a 5 star hotel and reflect the hotel's status as a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. However, if you're looking for an extra touch of luxury then each floor has a river view suite and the Charles Rocco suite on the top floor is the ultimate penthouse suite where you can entertain a number of guests with a dining room seating 8, a variety of sofas and even a baby grand piano.
Â
Â
DiningÂ
Â
The hotel's restaurant offers a varied and interesting menu which caters for all tastes. We tried the a la carte menu, the seasonal menu and a reception style buffet and were really impressed with the very high standard of cuisine throughout with delicious flavours and fresh, well presented dishes.Â

Weddings and events
Â
Weddings at The Lowry usually take place in the Ballroom on the mezzanine level with guests arriving in the spacious lobby before ascending the sweeping stairway to the reception area with floor to ceiling windows looking over the River Irwell. The Ballroom is light and spacious with panoramic windows lining both sides and can fit up to 600 guests for a standing reception or can be split in two, each seating 130 - 150 for a wedding breakfast. A choice of private dining rooms are available for weddings for 20 - 60 guests.
Â
Â
Kosher Weddings
Â
In addition to being licensed for weddings, The Lowry Hotel has a kosher license from the city’s Beth Din and all ‘simchas’ including weddings can be held here, co-ordinated by staff familiar with Jewish traditions.
Â
Â
The Spa
Â
For pre-wedding pampering there is an Elemis spa offering a great range of treatments including manicures, pedicures, spray tans and even hairdressing. Although there isn't a "wet area," the spa has two relaxation rooms with a dry sauna, loungers and piles of magazines. If the complimentary herbal infusions aren't your cup of tea, the therapists are happy to arrange for drinks from the adjacent hotel bar to be served in the spa. The spa has a particularly relaxed and friendly yet professional feel and an option of double or single treatment rooms.

What do we love?
Â
The stunning floor to ceiling panoramic windows as well as a floor to ceiling list of celebrity guests! The hotel is close to the Manchester BBC centre which makes it a natural celebrity hotspot. When we were there for 2 nights we were lucky enough to spot Liam Gallagher and Nigel Farage. We also love the fact that The Lowry Hotel is home to the largest presidential suite in Manchester!
