The Legal Way to Drink Champagne in a Wedding Car

Did you know that it is actually illegal to accept a glass of champagne in your wedding car? Most newlyweds and car companies don't even realise that a law is being broken by offering a free drink. We understand that weddings and champagne go hand-in-hand, so we've come up with these handy ways to have your champagne and drink it in your wedding car.

How to have your champagne and drink it

1. Check to make sure your driver has the correct license and is legally allowed to serve you your complimentary drink. If he doesn’t possess one, politely turn down the offer (as hard as that might be!) and wait until you arrive at the reception.

2. Talk to your wedding car company beforehand and ask them to provide the champagne glasses but not the champagne. If you provide the alcohol yourself, the company will not be responsible and your drink will be permitted by law. This way they can serve you and you won’t even be able to tell the difference!
