If you are familiar with the Banyan Tree's reputation for exclusive, luxury hotels you will not be disappointed with their resort hotel in Phuket.
Part of the Laguna Resort in the Bang Tao area of Phuket, the hotel boasts beautiful sandy beaches on the Andaman Sea and the internationally acclaimed Banyan Tree Spa. The resort's 18 hole par-17 golf course was voted in the Top Ten golf resorts in Asia.
Accommodation is entirely in villas, with over 150 villas spread out around a lake, many of them with a private pool. The beach is a short walk away, across an access road and a private grassed area.
The Spa area and some of the restaurants do not permit children. There is no Children’s Club on site however there is an arrangement with the neighbouring hotel to use theirs.
Despite full occupancy, it was notable on our visit that there were very few people in the communal areas around the pool, on the beach or in the Spa area; most preferring the privacy of their own villas. Ideal for those looking for a peaceful retreat – not so good for anyone hoping to meet people and make friends.
