“Lift your spirits without lifting a finger."

Make time to dissolve stress and supercharge your senses - rejuvenate and renew with a therapeutic facial or cocoon yourself in a tranquil body wrap.

We have fabulous products from the internationally acclaimed ESPA range at our fingertips - including natural oils, revitalising seaweeds and marine algae. Close your eyes and leave the outside world behind for a while - we’ll leave you feeling on top of it”

  • 13m deck level swimming pool with relaxation area
  •  Large fully equipped gym with air-conditioning and the latest exercise equipment
  •  Lounge area
  •  Fibre optic steam room
  •  Outdoor Jacuzzi overlooking gardens
  •  Colour therapy sauna
  •  Activity studio

This isn’t a big spa, but instead of pretending they are, they have embraced a small spa philosophy and done it well.

Impeccably clean with beautiful décor and the divine aroma you associate with ESPA products, this is a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.

The hotel has a large health and fitness area, encompassing a pool, studio and gym, leading to the “Treatment Area”. You could happily spend your time just in the treatment area, leaving only for lunch in the poolside bistro, however the other facilities are there if you are feeling more energetic.

We enjoyed a herbal tea in the pleasantly relaxing glass fronted lounge, before soaking in the outside Jacuzzi. There is something wonderful about sitting in hot bubbling water on a cold November day watching the dog walkers go by. After an indulgent lunch, this time watching the swimmers go by, we tried a holistic aromatherapy back, face and scalp treatment, skilfully carried out by friendly and knowledgeable therapists. Each aromatherapy oil used was carefully selected using a rather unscientific “sniff test” – if you liked the smell it was the right one for you. Today, apparently, I needed the equivalent of an aromatherapy hug.

Exclusive use is offered to hen parties and this is something we haven’t come across in other spas. It would be hard to comfortably fit more than 12 people in the treatment areas, however you could easily spill over into the adjacent changing rooms and pool areas.

The hotel offers an excellent “Girls Night In” package which looks excellent value, and includes accommodation, an afternoon in the spa, Tapas supper, use of robes, DVDs in your room plus popcorn, nibbles and ice-cream, full breakfast and a goody bag.
