Something Old, Something New
One of Cheltenham’s newest venues provided a beautiful backdrop for Yui and Adam’s Autumn wedding.
Ellenborough Park, the beautiful venue for Yui and Adam’s classic English wedding, is one of Cheltenham’s newest – and oldest – hotels! With parts of the building dating back to the 1500s, and other wings newly built in last year’s extensive refurbishment, it combines a delightful sense of history with modern luxury, and with over 60 rooms, provided enough accommodation for all Adam and Yui’s friends and relatives – many of whom were flying in from Northern Ireland and Japan!
‘We chose it,’ explains Adam, ‘because it offered a great package, and had everything we wanted. In fact, it was the very first venue we looked at, and nothing else really compared.’ As well as relaxing throughout the day in the beautiful Nina Campbell designed interiors, the late Autumn sunshine meant that guests were also able to enjoy the beautiful grounds.
The couple, who met at University in Bath, chose a simple peach and blue colour scheme, reflected in the bridesmaid’s dress, and in the ties and buttonholes of Adam, and his best man, brother William, with extra colour added by the neon lighting effect in the beautiful De La Bere Court, as the guests danced the night away.
