The Sole Spa is one of Swindon's newest highlights for pedicure and manicures, with the new trendy treatment using Garra Rufa fish. The spa is situated close to Swindon town centre, in a quiet location, with perfect access from the M4.

The Spa has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a very relaxed feel as you enter. If you are into new and exciting things to try, then read on about our time spent at the Sole Spa.

  • Two main treatments of either 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
  • Manicure or pedicure with massage and natural moisturise
  • Pamper Parties
  • Hen Parties

Our Experience

We tried the 30 minute foot treatment for our first visit, as recommended by the spa's owner Alex. On arrival at the Sole Spa, you are offered a seat on the comfortable sofas in the reception area and then fill out a basic medical questionnaire. The room is open plan, so you are able to watch other clients having their pedicure or manicure whilst waiting your turn.

After slipping on a pair of lightweight slippers, you are shown to the footbath, which cleans of any dirt/dust from your feet before treatment. Once cleaned, you are taken to your own personal fish tank containing the wonderful Garra Rufa carp.

As you lower your feet into each tank of water, the fish immediately swim to you and start to work their magic. The experience varies from person to person, however the feeling is not unpleasant and can be compared to a tingling sensation or similar to bubbles from a foot spa.

The Garra Rufa fish will gently "kiss" your feet with their suction cupped mouths to remove dry and damaged skin. These little fish also remove dirt and provide a deep cleansing treatment to the skin.

It is quite mesmerising to watch the treatment happen and as there are normally other treatments taking place at the same time, it's great fun chatting to other people at the same time. By moving your feet into different positions in the tank, you are able to control where you wish the fish to do their magic - toes out of the water and the fish will work on your heels; spread your toes apart and they will concentrate in the nooks and crannies; lower your legs in deeper and they will swim onto the lower leg area.

After your treatment, you are given a lovely foot massage with a natural hemp moisturiser and then you can relax on the sofas once again before leaving.

This treatment is beneficial for everyone, however is very suited to those who suffer from dry or hard skin through to eczema and psoriasis.

As the Sole Spa is open plan then booking your hen party or pamper party here is ideal - so why not try the latest trend in the health & beauty market. We highly recommend it and will be going back for more!

It's time to relax and breathe...
