Having met in Oxfordshire in 2009, The Crowne Plaza at Heythrop Park, Enstone was the perfect place to tie the knot for Francesca and Neeraj. Not only could it accommodate the 300 guests invited to the wedding, the couple were also able to light a small fire as part of the Hindu ceremony, and have outside caterers come in to prepare a special Indian style feast for the guests, many of whom flew in from sunny New Zealand and India respectively, to be greeted by falling snow.

The weather could have caused havoc, but Francesca and Neeraj‘s philosophy all along was to enjoy the day, come what may, so when the Ceilidh group due to entertain them was unable to get through to the hotel and phoned to cancel, everyone rallied round and assembled an impromptu band - a guitarist who was staying in the hotel offered to help, the dhol player who was trapped by the snow came to the rescue, and one of the guests who used to sing in a band, was delighted to join in. Against the odds, the DJ arrived for his evening set having battled through the icy roads, and kept the party going into the night.
