Living in Brighton was always going to give Holly and Patrick a slightly unfair advantage in the style stakes. For instance, the Mayor’s Room, in Brighton Town Hall, must rate as one of the UK’s most stylish register offices, and, points out Holly, is surprisingly reasonable. The wedding party then adjourned to The Coach House, where seasonal and locally sourced British food is a speciality, and met with chef Patrick’s approval.
When it came to the all important dress, Holly worked with designer Aimee Sibun. “We designed it together, on paper, and she catered to my every desire. I wanted something elegant, simple and ethereal.” Bridesmaids were given a coral colour swatch, echoed in the beautiful flowers throughout, and chose their own dress styles.
After a delicious three course meal, guests were treated to a cupcake extravaganza, with a tower of delicious cakes topped with a giant toffee cupcake. Holly believes the secret of success is to keep it simple: ‘Just choose things you both like, and are true to you and your relationship.’
