If you are a 'budget tight' bride, then a second hand or 'pre-loved' wedding dress may be an option for you. With money being so tight at the moment many brides are selling on their dresses rather than leaving them in the attic to gather dust.

There are a number of different factors which decides how much your 'pre-loved' wedding dress will cost.

  1. Firstly, how much it cost originally- this will be reflected in how much the bride is asking for it.
  2. How desperate the bride is to sell the dress
  3. The cost of delivery
  4. The cost of dry cleaning
  5. The cost of alterations

There are a number of different places to buy 'pre-loved' wedding dresses. Online auction sites such as ebay are a good place to start looking, but it can be risky splashing out the cash without evening seeing the dress or quality of the dress. Another good place to look is charity shops as many people hand in their dresses to charity shops 20 years down the line when they are clearing out their attic and don't have the time to sell it.
