There are now many places that you can buy a used dress from online, with dedicated sites where you can sell your own dress beingĀ  very common. As well as popular sites such as eBay, charities such as Oxfam not only offer bridal sections within their shops, but also have dresses available online as well.\n

\nSo why opt for a second hand dress? The main reason will be to save money, with many dresses being sold at discounts of more than 50% off of the original retail price.\nSo if you know the make of the dress, its name and the size you require you may be able to find it considerably cheaper. Some brides-to-be who are looking for something a bit more vintage will often go hunting in charity shops, and then enjoy making alterations to it to make it truly unique. Just remember though that many used wedding dresses will have been altered, so make sure that you ask the seller if it has been taken up or taken in. Ask forĀ  length, waist, hip and bust measurements of the dress before you commit to buy!
