The epitome of a traditional Caribbean resort - this adult-only, all inclusive, couples hide-away is just 10 minutes from the airport, close to the new Baha Mar resort.
Accommodation There are three main grades of room, with the grade dictating which lounge you can enjoy during the check-in process as well as your room type. The room types range from four poster rooms with semi-private gardens or shared pools, to standard hotel rooms in blocks arranged around the main pools. The rooms are traditional in design, with dark wood and bright carpets - with many including butler service.

Dining The resort has every style of cuisine covered, with 10 traditional and less formal options, including a beach-side pizza shack. Our favourite bar, in the hotel’s main pool, allows guests to swim up to order their favourite cocktail, which they can enjoy while floating on a sun-lounger without fear of being “bombed” by children.

Entertainment The atmosphere at Sandals is relaxed and friendly and the majority of couples there spend their days reading, chatting to other guests and soaking up the sun. The resort has a gym adjoining the pool, and a spa, with exercise classes for those wanting to work up an appetite for their next meal. Numerous water sports, including sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving (supplement for instruction) are included in the all-inclusive rate, and as the resort is situated in a sandy bay, it is a safe place for first-timers to learn. Resort hosts arrange traditional activities, such as skittles during the day and there is a cruise-ship style of entertainment schedule for the evenings.
