Performers Lucy and Jonathan first met in Edinburgh when they were on tour with the much loved Lloyd Webber roller skating musical Starlight Express, a city where Jonathan would later pop the question.
They came south for the big day itself and deciding on a reception venue was easy. Lucy remembers: ‘We fell in love with South Lodge hotel on our first viewing. It was incredible! The grounds were beautiful, the Gladstone suite where are reception was held was amazing. The staff were so very helpful and made our day perfect. I think we both agree that the honeymoon suite was the icing on the cake’
Jonathan’s transport choice was inspired by his love of the hit TV show The A Team, and, as a musician, he paid particular attention to the music throughout the day, from his own arrangement of ‘Glasgow Love Theme’ from the film Love Actually to which Lucy entered the church, to the eleven piece band for the evening which played tailor made arrangements of the couple’s favourite songs.
Lucy says, ‘However stressed you are in the run-up to the big day, ‘from the time you wake up on your wedding morning, stop the stressing and enjoy every minute!’
