A love of performing arts brought Stacey and Simon together whilst they were rehearsing for a local musical production, and there was a definite touch of theatre about their wedding day.
With over 250 people attending the church service in High Wycombe, the couple decided to have the speeches after the ceremony, so everyone could hear them, regardless of whether they were coming to the reception or not, and there was a definite party atmosphere, recalls Stacey; ‘I made pompoms to hang from the ceiling, and after the ceremony we had drinks, cheese and biscuits from roots and cakes made by our friends. The ceremony was fab - lively and upbeat. We loved every minute. We had friends playing in the band and friends decorated the church the night before for us - which involved hanging all my pompoms - not an easy job!’
The couple and their guests then headed off for a more intimate reception at the Pavilion at Lane End. A separate room was set up with activities for children and some friends were there to help supervise to ensure parents could relax and eat their dinner.
