With its majestic hillside setting, amongst fragrant spice trees and bewitching views of Grenada’s undulating Grand Anse Beach, it’s not difficult to work out why so many couples tie the knot or honeymoon at Mount Cinnamon Resort and Beach Club, Peter de Savary’s famous boutique resort.

The entire resort can be reserved for parties of up to 60 guests, however, smaller wedding parties are always welcome, and every celebration is individually tailored to meet the requirements of both bride and groom. A sunset ceremony, standing barefoot in the sand, hand-in-hand, watching the sun slip below the horizon - nothing could be more romantic.

The resort has 21 luxurious suites and villas, all boasting breathtaking views of the vibrant spice isle of the Caribbean – the lavish villas vary between one and three bedrooms, each with a spacious sitting room, kitchenette with breakfast bar and an outdoor terrace revealing the serenity of the island.

Just a short drive from St. George’s, Grenada’s lively capital, the eclectic resort recently benefitted from a face-lift - joining forces with leading Parisian spa and skin care brand Yon-Ka to create a new spa room. As well as treatments offered at the resort’s new spa room, beauty therapists are happy to provide treatments down on the beach at Mount Cinnamon’s private new-look Beach Cabana.

Take a visit to Mount Cinnamon’s sister property, Mount Edgecombe, a 17th century plantation (still fully operational), capturing an elegant take on its historical past. The plantation’s striking colonial house nestled on the hillside maintains many traditional varieties of crops and fruits as well as exotic flowers and spices. Many ingredients find their way to Savvy’s – Mount Cinnamon’s restaurant.
