Are you ready for another trendy new wedding term? Welcome to Microweddings.

Microweddings-The new trend for 2018

Microweddings are scaled down events and provide an intimate celebration with only close family and friends. With the price of weddings going up, couples are opting for microweddings to save a few pennies. They typically include 5 - 50 guests, usually immediate family and super close friends. Think of a microwedding as a cross between elopement and the traditional celebration, perfectly planned to reflect your personal style. So why is this increasingly popular wedding trend perfect for you?

It saves you money

A smaller guestlist means you can have a smaller budget - less people equals less of everything else! For example, you can book a smaller venue to accommodate your intimate guestlist, but remember, this doesn’t mean you can’t still take your vows somewhere beautiful. Just think, less invitations, food, wedding favours...

Splurge on things you really want

This means that you have a little more cash for the things that are really important to you. Whilst having a microwedding can be an appealing option to save you money, some couples use this money to make the wedding super extravagant! A smaller guestlist can make it possible to have the destination wedding you’ve always dreamed of or a lavish brunch at 5* restaurants in the city.

Less things to worry about

Microweddings are smaller scale on all the details, so flowers, transport, music and the cake don’t seem to be as big of a deal. But there are also little details you don’t have to worry about at all, for example, a live DJ or chair covers. You can start to see why having a microwedding might be a less stressful option for you…

It’s an introverts dream

If you’re the type of bride who is dreading having all eyes on you, this is your perfect solution. You won’t be losing sleep over performing your first dance in front of 200 eager-eyed guests. A microwedding allows you to say “I do” in front of 20 of your closest family members and friends, followed by cake and champagne with no pressure, just love.

You get to spend quality time with everyone

A large guestlist means you can’t hug and kiss every single person there. Plus, it takes up alot of your precious time with a passing hello to every guest.  A microwedding means that you can prioritize who you want to spend your special day with and get proper face time with everyone there.

A smaller wedding and fewer expectations allows you to be more creative with your ideas. You are completely in control to change things up!
