'Word on the Street' is an education and learning series, shown in 40 countries and watched by 40 million people, and is jointly made by the British Council and the BBC.

The series helps young people (teens to thirties) to develop their English language understanding, and filming is about to start for the third series. They aim to make out reports lively and interesting for a young audience, and are made in the best traditions of BBC educational programming. The series reflects the best in British culture and heritage, so people overseas can learn about the nation as well as the language.

For the next series they would like to film a wedding ceremony, as part of a wider programme with a theme of relationships. The filming would involve a small crew; one cameraman, director) and also a presenter. We would ideally, love to film a wedding in late August, because of the weather, but early September would also be great. They are happy to travel anywhere in the UK, but the church would need to be a traditional English church, with a traditional bride and groom (white dress, flowers, bridesmaids etc.)

They would like to film the preparations for the wedding (flowers, people arriving, the couple getting ready), the walking down the aisle and ceremony, and confetti and photographs outside the church, and ideally a little bit at the reception too. They'd also like to speak to the couple before and after the wedding, and also to the vicar about the importance of marriage. These would be arranged for the most appropriate time during the day.

They would pay the church a modest facility fee and also offer the couple a copy of the footage taken during the day, as well as a version without the presenter featured but we can’t replace a proper wedding video (DVD). They would obviously make sure our couple are well taken care, flowers, a gift etc. If any couples are interested, Jennifer Perelli would love to come to meet you to discuss  your requirements. They would also speak to the church directly once the couple are confirmed to seek relevant permissions.

If you are interested please ring Jennifer on 07539328154 or email jennifer.perelli01@bbc.co.uk
