Proposing with a jelly sweet ring, albeit in Barcelona and on the bride-to-be’s birthday, may not sound very romantic, but Louise was delighted as she wanted to help design her engagement ring, so Carl proposed with a Haribo ring.
With the ring duly commissioned, the couple’s next job was to decide on a venue. It wasn’t a difficult decision, explains Louise: ‘Nonsuch Mansion House within Nonsuch Park always had fond memories for me. My family are from the area and my father who passed away a few years ago, loved taking me and my brother and sisters to the park to play and treat us to an ice cream!’
Louise’s beautiful dress was from the San Patrick collection, and she commissioned Grecian style wedding dresses in a dark olive green for her bridesmaids: ‘I had tall bridesmaids and this was a cunning way of keeping them looking elegant’ explains Louise.
The stylish celebrations ended with friends and families dancing the night away with a little help from highly skilled DJ Steve Lewis, whose choice of tunes kept everyone on their feet all evening.
