If you would like to escape for a couple of days of pure indulgence, The Jumeirah Carlton, off Sloane Street and Cadogan Place, is one of the finest hotels in London with 220 stunning rooms including 58 suites - ideal for honeymooners - and a Presidential Suite if you really want to push the boat out.
The Jumeirah brand is synonymous with luxury and this central London hotel doesn't disappoint.
The brochure promises "Separate living area with dining table for five. Double washbasins with walk-in shower and Jacuzzi bath. Large dressing area and guest bathroom to retain your privacy. Flexibility to connect with a second guest room to provide 2 bedroom accommodation. CD player and dedicated fax machine."
We stayed in the Belgravia Suite, which had everything the average person could imagine they might need for a weekend's stay in London ... plus a television at the end of the bath. The room is so decadent that you really wouldn't want to leave it to see any of London, but if you do venture out, you are minutes away from shopping in Harvey Nichols, Harrods or Sloane Square and a short taxi ride from the West End theatres.
