After meeting on an internet dating site, Helen and Graham decided that the dreaming spires of Oxford would be the perfect backdrop for their small, informal, but magical day.
Helen moved to Berkshire when she fell in love with Graham, but when it came to finding the perfect spot for their wedding, she knew where her heart lay. Guides for Brides proved an invaluable help, and it was in these very pages that Helen tracked down Lucy Walters, their talented wedding photographer. ‘She did a great job,’ enthuses Helen ‘and was a pleasure to have around during the day!’
Their day started at the Old Bank Hotel for Helen and her bridesmaid, from where they made their way to Oxford Town Hall, with the ceremony held in the lovely Old Library. ‘It was the perfect size for our number of guests, and the team were very helpful, letting us in several times before the day to plan how we wanted everything and to practise the music.’
With the knot firmly tied, the bridal party and guests spent a sunny afternoon in the Vaults and Gardens Café garden, enjoying a wonderful buffet lunch, and then later made their way a little further along the High Street to the super stylish High Table Restaurant at the Eastgate Hotel, to finish the day with a sumptuous three course meal, complete with three extra taster courses in between!
