Kinnettles Castle

An elegant Baronial Castle bursting with sophistication, history and charm; featuring turrets and battlements, Kinnettles also comes with 44 acres of rolling countryside to explore.  Perfect for the fairy-tale wedding, this unique Castle can be hired out exclusively for the ultimate experience. Only a 20 minute journey from Dundee Airport, the Castle is easily accessible for guests.

The Ceremony:

Kinnettles boasts three options for the wedding ceremony.  Choose between the outdoor terrace (150 guests), which allows you to exchange your vows surrounded by fairy tale turrets and rolling countryside, and the Garden Pavilion (150 guests) which offers a marquee style option with glass doors overlooking the breathtaking gardens.  Alternatively, you can opt for a small intimate ceremony in the Reception Hall (30 guests), accompanied by a statement fireplace and sweeping staircase.

The Reception:

The new Garden Pavilion is the most popular location for the wedding breakfast and evening reception, however, you can choose from other rooms in the Castle which are more suited to more intimate receptions. The Thistle room or Bar area can be transformed into the perfect party place - the stylish white and black interior offers a chic alternative to the Garden Pavilion.

Packages:

Kinnettles offers delightful wedding packages (starting at £95), or you can opt for a bespoke package which is tailored to your requirements.

Accommodation:

At the top of the grand staircase are 13 chic bedrooms - space to sleep 26 guests. The bedrooms are spacious and elegant; presented in shades of white, black and cream, the rooms are in inkeeping with the Castle's sophisticated chic decor.  Kinnettles offers a luxurious bridal suite which boasts stunning views, a large bath tub and "his and hers" bathrobes! The 24 hour bar also enables the party to continue for the guests lucky enough to stay over.

Activities:

There are plenty of activities to keep your guests entertained throughout their stay.  The Carnoustie Championship Golf Course is only a 20 minute drive away - perfect for the a pre-wedding round of golf. The Castle itself boasts a games room with roulette, poker and snooker tables. There is also on site wine tasting, woodland walks, archery and shooting available (just in case a wedding isn't enough!).

We are reviewing this hotel in April, so look out for the review on our blog.
