Traditionally, Shrove Tuesday (or Pancake Day) uses up our milk, flour and eggs in preparation for Lent - otherwise known as the perfect excuse for a pancake feast. Whether you like them with lemon and sugar, fruit, Nutella or honey, there's a pancake for everyone. If you're a massive pancake fan, why not share your pancake love with your wedding guests, and serve them on your big day? Here's how to include pancakes in your wedding...
Canapés
Blend the concept of a pancake with your wedding canapés. Whether they be sweet or savoury, miniature pancake canapés will keep your guests satisfied through the wedding photos and keep them going until the wedding breakfast.

The Wedding Cake
If you're looking for a wedding cake that is utterly unique, then look no further. Made from layers of thinly made crepes, your tower of pancakes can be layered up with a filling of your choice. To give it more of a "traditional" feel, vanilla infused buttercream can be used. Or, if you're willing to be adventurous, why not stack your cake with Nutella! A completely untraditional option, but one that will definitely stand out.
Pancake Bar
If you don't fancy the pancake tower wedding cake, then why not have them for dessert? Providing a pancake bar is not only a delicious, creative and original option but it's also great fun for your guests (especially the younger ones). Make sure you offer as many toppings as you can so your guests are spoilt for choice!
