Getting married in six months or less? It can be done! Any brides with a short engagement will know that it's key to get all your suppliers locked down first, and your wedding venue is the most important of all. Luckily, Guides for Brides have a handy tool to help you find a last minute wedding venue...

Wedding ceremony isle set up

If you're looking for a wedding venue with availability in the next six months, then simply head over to Guides for Brides where you'll be able to see hundreds of venues with spaces left for you to book! If you have a specific date in mind (so for example if you already have your ceremony booked but you're on the hunt for a reception venue), then you can enter it here to see venues with this date free, or you can choose your preferred months and days to search through instead.

You'll also be able to search for venues within the radius of a certain postcode - whether this is your ceremony venue, your hotel or your home, our search tool will help you to find late availability venues nearest to you.

Once you've found your venue, you can also search for other suppliers who have available dates in the next six months, which should make planning the rest of your wedding a breeze!

Top tips for finding a last-minute wedding venue

To take some of the stress out of your short time frame, we have put together a short list of top tips of things to consider when planning your wedding within 6 months or less of the day.

Consider booking a weekday

Not only are these more likely to be available at various venues, which gives you more choice, you're also more likely to be able to find other suppliers that are free on that day too. This will allow you to have more choice of who your suppliers are and what to spend. However, bare in mind that weekdays may be harder for some guests to attend with work commitments so ensure to give them plenty of notice.

Widen your search

You may have to travel a little further afield to find the perfect last-minute wedding venue, but as long as you give guests as much notice as possible, a little extra travel is a small price to pay.

Choose an off-season

Summer is peak time, so you're least likely to find space during these months. Instead, why not pick late autumn or early spring? These seasons are still beautiful, but you'll have far less competition with other couples which gives you more breathing room.
