Situated in the heart of Rome, the historic Hotel Locarno is only a stones through from the famous Piazza del Popolo, Colosseum and Vatican. Offering the perfect romantic refuge, the hotel is bursting with historical charm. Locarno is made up of two buildings adjoined by a delightful garden bursting with wisteria; in the spring and summer months, guests can enjoy these stunning gardens accompanied by some food and drink. Design and popularity Built in 1925, the hotel interior takes you back to the 1920s, with elaborate decor and exquisite detail; the stunning design and interior is of huge popularity with many famous actors, directors, producers and musicians.  The film "Hotel Locarno" was directed at the hotel in 1978, making it a movie star in it's own right. Dining The ground floor Locarno bar is a popular historical meeting point for actors and artists meeting for a drink. Whether you want to sip an aperitif at the ground floor bar, or take it up to the stunning roof-top terrace - the choice is yours. The terrace is a beautiful setting for lunch or drinks, boasting marvellous views over Rome. Hotel Locarno specialises in a lunch-time menu and the chef selects only the highest quality ingredients in order to offer unique daily menus.

Accommodation  All 66 bedrooms offer unique 1920s antique furnishings and decor, with an evident Italian theme throughout. The palazzo (built in 1905), which the hotel has now extended to holds the finest of bedroom suites - some rooms still with their stunning original 1920s ceilings. The main hotel offers 48 rooms; whilst most are standard rooms, there are also superior and two suites available. All the bathrooms are decadently designed using marble and original 20th century baths.
