Honeymoons - Short Haul

Although it is traditionally the responsibility of the groom to arrange your honeymoon, you may wish to have some input as to the destination. With short haul destination, those within 2-3 hours flying time, you will largely be limited by the time of year, particularly if your honeymoon is going to have any sort of beach element to it. With soaring fuel surcharges the cost of flying is increasing and this is likely to continue.Short haul flights are considerably cheaper, and you have the added advantage that you can opt for a budget airline. By going overseas you will feel that you are properly "away" - less temptation to answer phone calls or pop in to the bank than if you are honeymooning in the UK, and it is a great opportunity to experience a different culture, language and cuisine. After a short flight you will arrive at your destination without the usual lethargy associated with long haul flights, and without concerns over jet lag. At Guides for Brides we understand how important it is that your honeymoon is perfect so as much as possible we personally review some of the most popular options for you. We are not tour operators and do not receive financial incentives from the places that we visit, so you can be assured that every review we have written is based on our own experience is honest and unbiased.
