The health service in Zambia is limited and expensive therefore it is important that you have full cover with health insurance. Further it is best to avoid swimming and paddling in fresh water. It is necessary to have the minimum vaccinations of Diphtheria, Hepatitis A, Malaria, Tetanus and Typhoid. Sometimes it is also necessary to be vaccinated against Rabies and Yellow Fever.
