You've been with her throughout her wedding planning journey. You've seen how busy she's been and how hard she has worked to plan the perfect wedding day that celebrates the love that she and her partner share. Now, as her bride tribe it's time to find something special to celebrate that she's about to start her new married life!

It's always lovely for the bridesmaids to get a gift for the bride, but if you're stuck for ideas, we have plenty of wedding gift suggestions to suit all budgets!

Photo album

One of the simplest but most heartfelt gifts that you can give a bride before her wedding day is a photo album filled with all your best memories together. If it’s from all the bridesmaids, then dedicate a few pages to every bridesmaid to fill with pictures of her and the bride together, and then fill the rest of them with shots from the hen do. For an extra emotional touch, have friends and family write letters or notes to the bride at the hen party and include them in the album.

Nightwear

A sweet gift to give to the bride before her big day is a set of bridal pyjamas, robes or slippers. You could either go down the floral or satin route, and pick her something classic that she can wear after the big day, or embrace the bridal theme and buy her a cute set of ‘bride-to-be’ PJs with a matching robe for her to wear the night before and morning of the wedding.

Emergency kit

Practical presents always go down well, and an emergency kit is a great gift to give to any bride-to-be. You can either buy a pre-made emergency kit, or make your own using a cute zip-up makeup bag. Include useful items such as painkillers, safety pins, breath mints, clear nail polish, a mini hairspray and deodorant, and your bride will be sure to thank you.

Jewellery

A meaningful piece of jewellery is a classic gift for the bride, and depending on your budget, it’s something you can club together with the other bridesmaids for. Something to represent her new married life, such as an infinity symbol or a knot, is an elegant choice, and you could even have her wedding date or new initials engraved onto it. You could also get her something that contains both her and her new spouse’s initials, or a charm for her charm bracelet if you know she wears one.

A honeymoon experience

If you know your bride has booked her honeymoon, then sneakily arranging for an experience for the two of them at the hotel or resort is a clever option for bridesmaids who want to give an experience rather than something material. You could pay for a couples massage, a fancy meal or an activity such as a sailing trip or a cooking class.

Champagne flutes

This traditional wedding gift is a popular choice in the US, and is usually given before the wedding so that the couple can use them on the day. A pretty set of engraved flutes is a lovely gift for any bride-to-be who loves her bubbly, and the couple can use them after the day to celebrate anniversaries.

Artwork

For something that the bride and groom will treasure forever, gifting a meaningful piece of art is a lovely idea. You could have one of their engagement photos printed onto canvas, commission a sketch of the two of them (or their wedding venue), or choose a typographic art piece and print out the words to their first dance song or one of their wedding readings.

A minimoon or spa day

If you’re feeling flush, or you have a lot of bridesmaids contributing, then you could send the bride and groom on a mini honeymoon after the big day. A voucher for a two-night stay at one of their favourite hotels is the perfect present if they need a getaway. Alternatively, buy the bride a spa day so she can get pampered either before or after the festivities - take a look at our spa reviews for inspiration!
