Flowers are an integral part of any wedding. From the bouquets and buttonholes to the table centrepieces and decorative extras - your wedding blooms can be subtle, unusual or extravagant depending on the season and theme. Floral trends vary from one year to the next, so check out our top 3 picks for 2016...

Daring Damson. A rich plum colour which beautifully compliments subtle nude tones. We caught up with Amie Bone at the National Wedding Show whose stand oozed Damson at every corner. Uninspired by the popular blush and cream tones, Amie chose this striking Autumnal colour to add some vibrancy to her underlying subtle floral scheme.

Pretty Peonies. A huge trend for 2015, this fluffy and feminine flower is a definite contender for 2016. Their delicate structure contrasts with a beautifully bold appearance - perfect for that traditional and timeless dreamy wedding. What we love about this wonderful bloom is its versatility. Peonies generally come in neutral shades which means that they can sit alongside a wide range of other flowers such as delphiniums and lilacs.

Wild Garden. Perfect for an English Garden or Bohemian Festival wedding, this trend brings you flowers "freshly picked from the garden." Bursting with colour and texture, the wild look is unkept and natural. Woodland flowers such as ferns and blowsy roses can create a wild floral look, whilst garden roses and tulips help create a softer looking bouquet. There is so much fun to be had with this floral trend as there are no rules! Use the Wild Garden to reflect your personality and wedding season, incorporating the unexpected such as acorns and autumnal coloured leaves.
