We love a movie wedding here at Guides for Brides HQ, so we've come up with a list of our absolute favourites and how you can re-create them for your big day - whether you're channeling your inner Cinderella or catching the Hogwarts Express, we've got you covered.

1. Harry Potter

If you're a big HP fan, incorporating aspects from the book and film series is the perfect way to personalise your wedding day while giving it a really personal feel. Start the theme off with your invitations, sort your guests into houses and send them the scarf of their relevant house, telling them to wear it on your big day. You'll say your vows with a room of Hogwarts students watching, and it'll make for amazing wedding photos! Theme your decoration around the stories, too, think Harry Potter themed cake, venue decoration and catering - incorporate jelly beans, butter beer and chocolate frogs and you're guests are guaranteed to be talking about your wedding day for years to come. 2. Star Wars

It's easy to see why Star Wars is a popular theme for a movie wedding, with the right attention to detail you can create a truly unforgettable day. The classic way to incorporate this theme is of course, lightsabers - after you've exchanged your vows, have your bridal party create a "lightsaber tunnel" for you and your groom to walk through to kick off the Star Wars celebrations. For your bridal look, channel your inner Princess Leia and make sure your groom has some Star Wars cufflinks and accessories, too. If you really want to go all out, ask your groomsmen to dress up as stormtroopers - it doesn't get more Star Wars than that! 3. Disney Princess

Perhaps the most popular movie-themed weddings are those Disney Princess days, where everything from bridal fashion to transport represents a much-loved childhood film. Whether you're crazy about Cinderella or go under-the-sea themed with The Little Mermaid, Disney weddings are a really fun choice for your wedding day. Go all out and have an exact replica of a Disney Princess dress, or use them as inspiration for your overall bridal look. Venue choice can be key to this theme - nothing says princess like a Castle Wedding. Visit our Pinterest board for more ideas.

4. Alice in Wonderland

This is a firm favourite at Guides for Brides HQ, there are so many gorgeous ways to incorporate this film into your day. Go for a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" themed wedding breakfast - think mismatched teacups, sprawling, uneven wedding cakes and "drink me" cocktails. This theme is perfect for games, too, whether it's croquet, giant chess or card games, your guests are sure to have a great day. 5. Great Gatsby

The best way to pull off a Great Gatsby themed wedding day is through your outfit choices, so why not get everyone on board? Ask your guests to dress up in 1920s inspired outfits and you'll create a truly unforgettable Great Gatsby Wedding. If you can't secure an Art Deco Wedding venue, then use Art Deco wedding decorations to enhance your theme (including plenty of glitter!) and hire a 1920s Jazz Band and you'll feel like you've travelled back in time.
