Exciting new trends we spotted at The National Wedding Show
As media partners of The National Wedding Show, we love popping in to visit new businesses and spot all the latest trends for our couples. We think you’ll love these exciting brands and trends we spotted at London ExCeL this Autumn…
From edible ruffles to sparkling glitter, many couples want their wedding cakes to really wow. As a result, Keysorn spends many hours handcrafting all the decorations and flowers so every element is edible. The 4-tier design with edible pink roses above will serve 140 guests for £950. If you’re looking for a smaller design, a 2-tier cake for 60 guests is £360.
Gone are the days of ‘his’ and ‘hers’ engagement rings! Sam Hamilton creates unusual wedding and engagement rings from her workshop in the Goldsmith’s Centre in Clerkenwell designed to suit all genders. Sam’s future husband was keen to join the growing number of men wearing a diamond band leading up to the wedding, but couldn’t find a unisex design to suit. So, Sam created a design with a discreet diamond set into the edge which was hidden once the wedding band is added, creating an unusual “ying-yang” signet ring.
Couples can choose from various SAM HAM designs, with the wedding band perfectly matching or wrapping around the engagement ring, with the option to add “push” rings. Already got the engagement ring? Sam takes a cast and uses 3D modelling to create a wedding band to wrap around the diamond.
For table plans, place cards and invitations with a difference, we love these hand-drawn styles from Hey Draw Me. The drawings are £9 per guest and, once created, can be used in different places for a small printing cost. For the super-organised, you can personalise your invitations with each guest’s caricature, and then add them to the table plan and place name cards. Everything is computer-generated and delivered by courier to allow for last-minute changes – ideal for last-minute wedding stationery.

Olivia Wright started the business after made a set of comfy wedding morning clothes for her own bridal party. Friends saw them and loved them, so the business naturally grew. The range includes robes and an option of short or long bottoms to go with a button up top, all made from soft bamboo fabric and priced from £44 to £51 including personalisation.
