East Sussex National Hotel

East Sussex National has been renowned for many years for its excellent golf courses, so with this perfect setting adding hotel, conference and spa facilities was their natural progression in 2006.

As soon as we arrived at the entrance and followed the long drive to the hotel, we could see that space is not an issue at East Sussex National. The hotel is not built up high, and is totally in keeping with the original design of the Clubhouse. The hotel entrance is no different, with a large reception area and fantastic lighting (below).

East Sussex National

Everything at East Sussex National brings you to the beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and the two Champioship Golf Courses. So, with the golf courses, spa and health club this is a great venue for both hen and stag groups looking for relaxation and outdoor activity rather than partying.

Accommodation

East Sussex National has a wide variety of accommodation to offer, from family rooms with additional beds to modern and spacious suites.
All suites (below) have a seating area with comfy sofa, coffee table, desk work space, large flat screen LCD TV, Queen sized bed with additional flat screen with adjustable arm for easy viewing whilst in bed! The suite that we stayed in also had a large semi-circular balcony overlooking the stunning views of the South Downs and golf courses.

Dining

Whilst staying at East Sussex National we had dinner in the Pavilion Restaurant, which has an extensive menu that offers an amazing selection of mouth-watering dishes. Seasonal and daily specials are always available and are sourced from the finest local and fresh produce. The scallops that we ate were cooked to perfection and the service that the restaurant staff gave was equally as good. East Sussex National is a must for "foodies", with the Pavilion being awarded an AA Rosette.

Whilst staying at East Sussex National it feels like you are at a resort more than a hotel as there is so much to do. In addition to playing golf and using the health club, there are some beautiful places to walk, but if you just want to relax why not try an afternoon tea in Hotel Lounge Bar overlooking the fantastic views.

This venue has so much to offer and we would highly recommend it for all ages wanting either an active or relaxing break. So it is perfect for a pre-wedding getaway or to short honeymoon break.
