Owned by the tennis superstar Andy Murray, Cromlix is situated near to Murray's hometown, Dunblane. The hotel was transformed in 2014 with an extensive refurbishment ahead of the Ryder Cup. With beautiful countryside surroundings, the Victorian house is set in 34 acres of woodland and gardens. Offering its own tiny private chapel alongside an outstanding Chez Roux restaurant, Cromlix makes for the perfect wedding venue.  Murray's wedding to Kim Sears took place in nearby Dunblane Cathedral followed by a marquee reception for their guests on the lawns at Cromlix, but for smaller weddings, the venue has its own beautiful little chapel within the main building.\n

The Ceremony\nSeating 30 people, the Chapel has been consecrated by the Scottish Episcopal Church, and welcomes ministers of all religions, as well as humanist celebrants, to carry out marriages here.\nFor larger weddings, the Drawing Room, Garden Room or Billiard Room are popular options, or take your guests to the Loch within the hotel's grounds and get married in front of the  boathouse with swans  looking on.\n

\nPhoto credit: Cromlix\nThe Reception\nAiming for the more "bespoke" wedding feel, the hotel aims to tailor each wedding to each individual's requirements whether your reception is for 10 guests in the study or a marquee wedding for 300.\nAccommodation\nCromlix has 10 beautifully designed bedrooms, 5 suites and a one-bedroom gate lodge.  Each room is individually designed, with beautiful views overlooking the manicured gardens, impressive tennis courts or rolling countryside.\nThe suites feature stunning hand-painted baths in gold, silver or copper, and have been named after famous Scots by Andy Murray.  Cromlix has achieved the perfect mix; a homely and luxurious feel with working fireplaces in every room, beautiful art, thick carpets and sumptuous upholstery, mixed with high tech touches such as ornate mirrors in the bedrooms transforming into a 32" TV with the touch of a button.  All the rooms are gorgeous and we particularly liked the light, spacious junior spa suite.\n
