We were delighted to attend Clevedon Hall's press evening over the weekend where we were able to experience the impressive recent developments. Providing a stunning wedding venue with idyllic surroundings and a bespoke service, 150-year-old Clevedon Hall balances character and charm with modern day luxury and decor. The Hall is only available for exclusive hire, creating a private and personal wedding experience.

Boasting Victorian charm and period features throughout, we were immediately taken back by the decadent oak bannister which dominated the venue's entrance hall. One of the highlights of the evening was the tour of the bedrooms - each room is truly unique and offers a fascinating coupling of old and new - vintage antiques paired with the modern chic furnishings. There are some fantastic quirky features in many of the rooms and bathrooms, a particular favourite was the heated toilet seat and huge shower built into one of the traditional turrets.

As we sipped on the delicious and innovative 'champagne with rhubarb cordial,' we spoke to the Operations Manager at Clevedon Hall. He informed us of the truly bespoke service which is offered by the team and told us of a recent wedding where the Michelin Starred Head Chef, Alan Jones, had numerous meetings with the family during which he learnt to make 'Grampy's Pie' - a family favourite which had to be served at the wedding. Even the mother of the bride got hands on in the kitchen, helping to recreate the recipe. There is no limit to the flexibility of the team, they will do everything to make your big day truly unique. The main dining room's rustic 'library-style' decor is impressive.  However, if you are planning a more intimate wedding, then Clevedon offers an equally lavish dining room, 'the snug' to suit smaller weddings.

From the calm lake to the scenic woodland, the grounds are truly stunning at Clevedon Hall and are as picturesque as could be. There are also said to be thirteen small deer frolicking around and it's often the challenge of the wedding photographer to capture that perfect outdoor shot with a deer in the backdrop.
