No trip to Las Vegas is complete without a trip to one of the many Cirque du Soleil shows which have now been performed in numerous countries for over 20 years.
There are several to choose from in different hotels but all have a mix of choreography, dance, acrobatics and theatre set around a central theme.
"An aquatic tapestry of artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance in the timeless production, "Oâ„¢". The international cast of world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and characters perform in, on, and above water to create a breathtaking experience in a magnificent theatre reminiscent of a European opera house."
From the dramatic curtain-up at the start of the performance to the close of the story, "O" is a mix of high diving, acrobatics, synchronised swimming, trapeze, dance, music and comedy.
The choreography is exceptional with focal points, in, under around and above a central pool with a floor that raises and lowers.
Swinging diving boards, a flying galleon, bizarre carousel horses and a random tramp on fire all add to the spell-bounding surreal stage show.
For a great show like this it is worth paying for great tickets, which are around $200 for the central block towards the front.
Book online as far in advance as possible for the best seats, or take your chance with one of the half dozen official half price ticket booths on The Strip for same week or same day tickets.
