Chocolate Fountains for weddings

Although few couples opt for a chocolate fountain to replace the wedding cake during the wedding breakfast, many have one as the centrepiece for the evening reception, with the cost often similar to the cost of a catered dessert.

The dark or milk chocolate in the fountain can be flavoured - chocolate orange is a popular choice, and white chocolate can be both flavoured and coloured, although pink chocolate fountains really are best saved for children's birthday parties!

A few companies offer a self hire package, others will arrive at your venue with a wide selection of dippers, and will help the guests to enjoy the fountain. Around 10 kilos of chocolate is provided along with a small selection of ‘dippers’ - although you may want to add your own favourites such as fruit, marshmallows, profiteroles, mini-cookies and mini-doughnuts.

You usually need to provide a five foot circular table close to a power-point, and the company will provide a member of staff to operate the cascade.
