Bridal Buyer Awards 2015

This week saw the very coveted Bridal Buyer Awards for 2015, which were held at The Harrogate International Centre.

Guides for Brides were lucky enough to go along as proud sponsors of the drinks reception and meet up with some of the best bridalwear designers and retailers within the industry.

One of our favorite categories of the evening was the Best Student Designer, which showcased some of the finest Student Designers from across the UK. The dresses displayed on the stage were a great example of why British Designers are leading the way in bridalwear design. The winner of the category was 4th from the left, a chic and classic design from Sophie Georgia Morley, who studies at Norwich University of the Arts.

The evening was hosted by Britains Got Talent's Danny Posthill, who entertainingly found some of the more elaborate designer names a little tricky and provided great entertainment. Danny can be seen above introducing the highly contested award for the Wedding Dress of the Year, which went to Mark Lesley, style 7089 (1st dress on the left)

After the formality of the awards, we got to experience first hand why photo booths are such a popular attraction at weddings.
