"This classical wedding image really sums up what I try to create as a fine art wedding image when I am taking a bride and groom off on the day for their couple portraits. Where a couple gets married is so important to them and they have spent so long getting the perfect venue for them as a couple so I like to include it in my images if possible.
This wedding was taken just a couple of months ago in June 2021 at Cliveden House in Bucks (famous for The Profumo Affair!), after the couple had got married in London's Chelsea Registry office. I love everything about this, the dress, the bride's expression, the stone archway and it's something that would look incredible hung on the wall in their home. It screams of my own style of photography: fine art beautiful moments captured mixed with fun reportage/documentary." - David Bostock Photography

"The evening drinks reception at this Bisham Abbey wedding was in full swing, and then all of a sudden the skies turned beautiful in the blink of an eye! Naturally, I sprinted over to the bride and groom and pointed to the sky, so together with their bridesmaids they made the short dash to the water's edge. Backdrops and lighting don’t get any better than this - the silhouette shot you see here was of the bridesmaids sat on the bench overlooking the River Thames. And then just as I was ready to click the shutter to capture this magical scene, a pair of passing swans decided to join us too!" - Mark Sisley Photography

"After all the excitement of bridal preparations on the morning of Rosie’s wedding, she takes a moment to pause in the Bow Loft at Stanlake Park before leaving with her father for the church." - Annabel Farley Photography

"Wedding photography for me is all about capturing emotions. This photo was taken last month and I feel it shows the emotions not only from the bridesmaids but also from how everyone is feeling about being allowed to celebrate with friends and family again after such a long time in lockdown." - Vinegar & Brown Photography

"Lisa and Rob got married in June 2021 at Dovecote Barn and Events, Adderbury, near Banbury. This photo was taken in an adjacent field to the venue, which at the time was full of long grass. After taking a number of ambient light photos, this photo was taken by deliberately underexposing the sky, and lighting the couple using flash, softened with a modifier." - Sam and Steve Photography

"This picture was taken at Pembroke Lodge while everyone was eating.  The pigeon came in through the double doors and started flying around the room, I was having my meal in the corner and saw it flutter around.  Then, as shown in the picture it flew towards the doors across the top table where the groom sheltered his wife with a napkin from the bird as it flew across.  I entered this picture into the International Wedding Photographer Of The Year awards where it came 5th in its category, published in various newspapers and led to an interview on Times radio. It has also all help in securing bookings as many couples have mentioned how they like the photo." - Paul Gapper Photography

"Bridal portraits encapsulate a pensive time. They can pinpoint a bride's true feelings before she commits to one of life's beautiful adventures with whom she loves. The light source provided by the window shines on the bride just enough to elegantly portray these emotions." - van den Eshof Photography

"This photo will probably always be one that I absolutely adore. The first dance is always one of the few quiet times newlyweds get together on the day anyway but with the added bonus of everyone watching. The guest taking a photo in the background happened to have her flash go off at THE perfect moment and it totally made the photo." - Libby Clark Photography

"Ed and Claire’s wedding was delayed by a year due to the pandemic, by which time Claire had become pregnant with their first child. I love the way they look at each other. It was amazing to see two people so in love finally marry." - Francesca E Kingsley Photography

"This groom’s family have holidayed in Oxfordshire for the last 50 years and our town has become very special to them. Mark proposed in Wallingford and at last, after all the Covid delays, they were able to get married here this summer. With an intimate wedding in the Town Hall followed by a boat trip on the Thames and then a very relaxed and happy garden party for their reception. Even a fleeting shower didn’t stop these childhood sweethearts from having the happiest day of their lives." - Yellow Dog Creative

"We love this image as it was taken in March 2020, just 3 days before we were all plunged into lockdown. The couple had been worried all week before, so when they finally got to the church, the relief made an already emotional moment so much more special." - KSCole Photography

“It’s so hard to choose just one favourite photo from all our lovely weddings from the past 13 years. We love all the sunset and confetti photos as they are lots of fun, however we have to choose just one and we have chosen this image from Alun & Ben’s wedding at The Swan Hotel, Bibury because its our first same sex wedding. They were a wonderful couple to work with and only booked us three months prior to the wedding and we are so glad they did. The location is a favourite of ours too as it just oozes Cotswold charm” - Capture Every Moment
