Careful planning and a little magic made Luke and Nikita’s special day truly memorable. Take three hundred guests, six bridesmaids (plus flower girl), a glass carriage and a helicopter, and you can be certain to create a wedding day that will be remembered for years to come.
But Nikita and Luke’s wedding wasn’t just memorable, it was truly magical. The picturesque church (featured in the BBC series Larkrise to Candleford) was Luke’s childhood church, and longtime family friend, the Canon Christopher Mulholland of Badminton, agreed to marry the couple, his final marriage before retiring.
The reception was held in Nikita’s mother’s garden, in a beautiful marquee, decorated in a stunning silver and purple colour scheme, where the guests were treated to a delicious wedding breakfast of fish and chips followed by a night of dancing.
Unsurprisingly, the couple wished that the day never had to end. Nikita looks back on the day with clear delight, and muses: “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away”. How true!
