1. Princess Diana and Kate Middleton
This stunning 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds has got to be the most beautiful engagement ring on earth. Set in 18-karat white gold - the ring has a deeper, more sentimental beauty to it too, as Prince William stated that by giving Kate the ring, it meant that his late Mother was also part of his wedding day.
2. Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth Taylor married a total of eight times throughout her adult life, so there were rather a lot of rings to choose from - but our favourite has to be this amazing 29.4 carat emerald-cut diamond beauty, given to her by her third husband, Mike Todd. Taylor was unsurprisingly thrilled with the ring, and referred to it as her “ice-skating rink”.
3. Beyoncé
This $5m sparkler is certified as an exceptionally clear stone - the octagon-cut ring set in a platinum split base is 18 carats, we’d expect nothing less from Queen B.
4. Blake Lively
We love this beautiful oval 12-carat diamond engagement ring that Ryan gave Blake before they secretly tied the knot away from the public eye. It’s rumoured to have cost him a cool $2m - but we think it was totally worth it.
