Summer weddings used to be super popular, but autumn weddings are starting to take over - imagine the cosy autumn colour palettes, sparklers lighting the way, fire pits and blankets to warm your guests...

Alternatively those late spring weddings offer the opportunity of bright, warmer weather (in theory!) and all before the school holidays. If you're planning on a budget, it's best to pick a date in less sought-after months - how about a winter wedding in January or February when venues may offer better rates? Or you could choose a weekday over the popular Saturday weddings that couples tend to go for.

Did you marry on one of these dates this year?
